Commentary for II Samuel 20:5

וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ עֲמָשָׂ֖א לְהַזְעִ֣יק אֶת־יְהוּדָ֑ה וייחר [וַיּ֕וֹחֶר] מִן־הַמּוֹעֵ֖ד אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְעָדֽוֹ׃ (ס)

So Amasa went to call the men of Judah together; but he tarried longer than the set time which he had appointed him.

But was delayed past the appointed time. He found Rabbis who had begun to learn a tractate in the Talmud, as is stated in Sanhedrin.³
